This slate sheet tile is a 1x2 subway tile and was an ideal choice for this
kitchen island which is curved at the face. The sheet tile installation
follows the curve of the island front. The backsplash tile was supplied
through Florida Tile and gives the effect of copper finish especially after
the tile installer applies stone impregnator and enhancer sealant.

kitchen remodel project was designed to be an open and inviting space
and the contractors working on this project brought it to life.
The challenge that I faced as the kitchen designer was to bring warmth
into the open space of the kitchen by selecting the backsplash tile and
granite countertops that would convey the warm earthy tones that the
architecture of the house exhibits and at the same time I did not want a
rustic feel to the kitchen.

with seams and layouts that utilize the slabs purchased taking into
account the flow of the grain, design of the counter and placement
of the seams. Slab fabrication includes cut outs for under mount
sink and faucets, custom edges and template service. Slabs are
supplied through the major Denver importers and distributors.
