KITCHEN REMODELING Tile Installation
Kitchen remodel that is unique is as simple as the
selection of the kitchen remodeling materials.
Are you thinking about what materials to use for your
kitchen remodel or tile installation? We can help!
Granite in kitchen design and tile installation is our
business. Kitchen countertops are beautifully
enhanced and complimented with the right type of
tile selection on the kitchen backsplash walls.
KITCHEN TILE INSTALLERS
Many people settle for a porcelain tile or ceramic tile
because there is a misconception that natural stone
and pebble rock tiles are to hard to maintain.
Don’t settle for the ordinary kitchen remodel take the
time to research your kitchen tile options.
The fact of the matter is when the tile installation has
been properly installed your kitchen stone tile
backsplash will hold up for many years, as long as
the proper sealant application is followed.
Don’t be limited with your choices. By hiring a
kitchen design expert for your kitchen remodel tile
installation, you will be assisted by the years of
experience and knowledge that the designer will
bring to your home remodeling project.
KITCHEN DESIGN
Elements for a kitchen remodel that you can be
proud of include hardwood or tile flooring, stainless
steel hood, kitchen sink and appliances.
Custom kitchen cabinets and light pendants vary so
widely and an important aspect to keep in mind is
function, lifestyle and practicality.
Reverse angle of the countertops shows the granite
edges and tile for the kitchen island.
STONE TILE BACKSPLASH
Things to consider are the type of stone to be used
such as granite, slate, travertine, marble, limestone
or soap stone. Depending on the type that your tile
installer is setting, his knowledge of the correct
sealant is paramount for the best tile installation.
Also the type of mortar (thinset) is critical to the tile
installation since bleeding through the stone can
result when the wrong type of thin set is used.
Mastic or tile glue is strongly discouraged when
installing stone tiles.
I have had clients wait a number of years in order to
select just the right tile for their kitchen back
splash. Many have waited so long because they
were confused by the many choices in tile that are
available and just needed a little help with their
selections.
This was a fun project and subway tile made of
slate was used. A natural stone tile impregnator
was used to enhance the color of the slate tile and
grout.
You can see the difference in the stone before and
after the tile was sealed.
