KITCHEN TILE BACKSPLASH DESIGN
The tile installers begin by measuring the
dimensions of each wall. Sink wall includes the
window opening and the stove wall includes the
cabinet opening above the cook top.
This procedure is done in the customer's garage
by following the measurements taken and
transferring these to resin paper.
The pattern is then duplicated by first cutting the
field tile (black rock) in place. Once the field tile is
cut into place the tile installer next lays out the
gray stone tile to be used in the kitchen design.
As the design continues this way our client can
add her opinion on what she would like to see and
will email me pictures of the progress. Each gray
stone is placed over the black field tile which is
then cut out to fit the pattern.
Once we are happy with the look of the kitchen
splash layout the pieces are taped together and
numbered. The tile setters place the numbered
tiles in a box named and numbered for the section
of the wall they are to be installed.
